Kylee had another round of puppy shots last Wednesday and she was a perfect angel! The doctor put some treats on the table and she was concentrating so much on them that she didnât even notice the shot. My dogs donât fall for that trick⦠She also weighed 25.3 lbs â which probably means a full grown size of about 70 lbs.
Kylee has really become an affectionate puppy. I think more so since her sister got adopted. She really, really wants to sleep on the bed at night. We have a routine of all 5 of us (two humans and three dogs) cuddling on the bed and watching TV before going to sleep. For awhile Kylee would have to be put in her kennel when we actually turned in for the night â which she would struggle to get out of my arms when she new thatâs where I was putting her. Sooo, being the softies that we are, we let her sleep in the bed two nights ago. She was great! She stayed close all night and had no accidents. So we thought we would try it again last night. Also great until she got up with the alarm and jumped to the floor and peed. To bad I didnât jump up fast enough. This was her first accident since she came back home after Thanksgiving.
Since Kylee has come back after Thanksgiving, she somehow learned to come get us when she needs to go outside. Before she left, we had to notice her at the door or she might still choose to go inside. Plus the snow didnât make outside very enticing for her. But for the last week, she will come find you, sit at your feet, and make a low grumbling sound â almost like a mini growl â when she wants to go out! We were so impressed with her the first time we saw it!!
Kylee is also working really hard on not jumping on people when she sees them. A few trips on time out, and you can really see her little brain working! She looks so funny when she starts running towards someone out of sheer excitement, her front legs leave the ground to jump, and she suddenly remembers to quick try and get those legs back on the ground before she lands on that person! Sheâs quite the little acrobat!
Kylee is growing up into a wonderful dog. I hope she can find that special person (or people) to share her life with.
