Honey came into our foster family on Saturday! We met her up in Cannon Falls and she rode like a champ in the van on the way back to Rochester.
Honey is a 10 year old big dark red golden girl. She is spayed and after her vet appointment on Wednesday will be updated on all her vaccinations!
Honey came into RAGOM's care as her mom and dad are moving to Hawaii and couldn't take her along. She's been a mostly outside dog, and is learning the luxuries of indoor dog life!
Honey could stand to trim a few inches from her waistline, and she seems pretty itchy, so we'll see what the vet says about possible allergies. When I gave her a bath, I also found a few ickie tickies on her and I wrestled them off. She thanked me for that! She's got a very thick heavy red coat with curlie-ques on her fanny. I haven't seen ringlets like that since Shirley Temple. She sat fairly patiently while I brushed her, but I didn't push it since she seemed a little nervous.
She is avoiding our Golden Armada, I think she's still nervous and unsure of the household. She ignored our cats at first, but has decided that Samcat the Fatcat's rear smells good, so she's following him around. We'll have to watch and make sure her interest doesn't grow!!
More on Honey a little later this week after we visit the vet. She seems like a very sweet girl who really likes to get her belly scratched!
