Daisy came to us about 8 weeks ago. She was given to RAGOM so she could experience a better life. At her previous home she was confined to a small part of the house, not having free roam and didn't get the vet care she needed.
When we got her she had very little energy and wasn't eating. We took her to the vet and found out she needed immediate surgery. She had pyometria, which is an infection in the uterus. She was spayed and got her uterus out and then needed time to heal. She is a completely different dog, happy, joyful, and sweet as can be.
Daisy is 8 years old, is very mellow, and is a "velcro" dog. By that I mean she always loves to be with her people. She will need an adoptive family who will love having her follow them everywhere they go.
She loves her daily walks which she didn't get in her previous home. It is so fun to see her "dance" when we get the leash out for her walk. She also gets excited at breakfast and dinner and "dances" then too. She came to us very overweight so we are working on getting her fit and healthy.
Daisy LOVES toys. She carries them everywhere. Our back yard looks like a day care center at times. We have a fenced yard and she loves rolling around in the grass. A fenced yard would be great for her but not entirely necessary; however, she does roam around if given the opportunity.
She gets along with children but they need to be very respectful of her and treat her well. She got anxious around the children she used to live with when they were rowdy and didn't treat her right.
She does have a little anxiety when left alone. She will bark a lot. She gets along great with our resident dog who is also a bit older and mellow. Daisy enjoys sleeping upstairs with us next to our bed on her doggy bed with our house dog and cat.
Daisy is the sweetest dog and deserves the best of life. She is easy and asks only for a few things: love, food, love, a daily walk, and more love. Please consider her for your home if you can offer these to her.
