Carter has found a new home with a RAGOM alumni. He will have a new name, a new furry brother named Murphy, and he will get to visit a lake home in the summertime.

Congratulations to the C family!

Carter has had a few busy days this week. He is now learning how to walk on a leash and doing very well with it. He very quickly bonds to the person whom he is walking with. He does not pull at all and is beginning to enjoy seeing new things out in the world around him.

The weather has been beautiful so we have been outside playing a lot and Carter has been meeting new friends. He loves all dogs that he meets whether they are small dogs or large dogs.

Carter does not have any resource guarding issues of food or toys and he does not have any storm anxiety issues. We had quite a thunderstorm pass through the other day and he did not notice it at all.

We have been grooming Carter on a regular basis. He also had his ears cleaned and he does not have any issues with you touching his ears.

Carter is house trained and has not had an accident in the home since he arrived. He is also crate trained and finds his crate to be a safe spot to relax in when he wants to.

Has anybody mentioned how sweet of a boy he is?! Some family will be very lucky to become his forever home. Could that be your home?

Carter went on a short trip to stay with some friends for a few days.

He met a 10-year-old child and really enjoyed her petting him. Carter also met a 3-year-old Golden Retriever named Kenzy and did very well with meeting her.

It was a beautiful day to be outside so we decided to brush Carter and give the birdies some material for their nests. He enjoyed being groomed and he sheds a lot of hair just like any Golden Retriever.

Hi folks! It's me, Carter, and I'm thinking I may have been tricked this past weekend. As my foster mom mentioned in a previous update, I don't like it when she gets out the silver thing she calls a camera because I like to be a "man of mystery."

On Sunday two ladies came to visit my foster mom, and although I was kind of leery of them and stayed close to foster mom, I didn't realize it was a covert operation aimed at exposing just how gorgeous I am. Apparently one of the ladies was taking pictures and videos of me when I wasn't watching.

Well, I better go and check out what my foster mom and foster siblings are doing. I would hate to miss out on something fun.

If you have any questions about me or think I could fit into your home, please review our adoption process

Carter will be 1 year old this month. He is a beautiful, tall, thin-framed boy with a very soft, blond coat.

Carter's sweet personality is best described as social, happy, and always willing to play if you give him the time. Recess outside finds him looking for any ball or chew item left out that he can prance around with in his mouth.

Inside the house he finds a spot to lay down or wrestle with his best friend Bonnie, and his behavior is certainly not like a dog who has to run and jump on all the furniture.

Carter has the makings of a loving dog who will be happy to join you on the sofa for some quiet time. He is less shy and readily comes to you for affection now.

It is hard to get pictures of Carter as he is afraid of the shiny Cannon camera, and he walks to the far side of the room every time I pick it up. Carter is ready to find a companion playmate who loves to run and play outside and the weather for spring has certainly been great for hours of play.

Carter is really enjoying life. He has found an old ball in the yard and plays endlessly chasing it around. He is also enjoying the art of playing with Bonnie and they run, chest bump, and run some more.

His personality has really bloomed, and although he is a rough-and-tumble guy outside, he is sweet and gentle indoors. He is quite gentle and mellow sometimes, which is a surprise considering his young age. He is going to make a wonderful companion for some family.

Carter comes to RAGOM as a breeder surrender. He has completed his neuter and is up to date on his vaccinations.

He is a typical puppy with lots of energy. Currently he is a fun little boy who is learning about ear scritches and being touched by humans. He is a little timid and hand shy so he needs to learn only good things come from his humans.

He is a little thin but gaining weight slowly. He has a ravenous appetite and gulps his food fast as if it will disappear in a nanosecond.

Carter is learning about crate training and doing amazingly well. He is a bunk buddy with his friend Casper 18-179A who he arrived with in foster care. Carter has not developed a signal to go outside to potty breaks with his friend Casper, so they are out every 2 - 6 hours to potty.

At almost 7 months Carter is a rambunctious on-the-go puppy. At this age a lot of expended energy needs to be challenged into appropriate behavior. Are you ready for this challenge?

If you are interested in Carter, read about our adoption process and then submit an Inquiry for Application so we can have a conversation about this cute fellow.
