Super Cooper found a super new fur-ever home in Eastern Iowa. Cooper really came a long way in the two short months he was with us. He went from initially not wanting anything to do with our resident dog Ella, to becoming great friends.

Cooper loves his walks and learned very quickly from Ella that meeting new people along the way is so much fun. Cooper is still not too sure when around unfamiliar dogs. However, his new family is committed to his ongoing training.

His new Dad is retired, so Cooper will have companionship most of the day. We received a picture of Cooper today from his new family and it appears that he feels right at home! We are so happy that he found a great home with Julie and Gary.

It has been one week and one day since Cooper came our way. He has made so much progress in that week. Cooper is learning new things and becoming more comfortable in his new found Golden life.

The first couple days he really did not want anything to do with our resident dog. However, by mid-week they were playing and running zoomies together in the yard.

Cooper eats well, but has not been too interested in treats. He is starting to come around though, and even ate part of a biscuit and has been trying other tasty treats.

Cooper went in for a bath and a trim yesterday. He looks so great and has a beautiful, shiny red coat.

Throughout the week Cooper has been less reactive when hearing other dogs bark. However, he will need continued work to feel safe around unfamiliar people and dogs.

We are looking for an adoptive family who is interested in and committed to his continued training. Cooper needs continued help learning how to be his best self. Cooper is a very sweet dog who will make a great addition to your home.
