Bailey's owners surrendered her to RAGOM due to long work hours and Bailey's medical needs. Bailey is a sweet, snuggly golden girl with soft, silky fur. She has hypothyroidism that is controlled with medication. A mass on her right hip was diagnosed as mast cell cancer. Bailey is well-behaved in the home, although she's tempted by goodies left on the counter. Bailey is a hospice dog and will remain in her current foster home, where she can be pampered and receive needed medical care.

Hello everyone, it's me Bailey!

My Dr. Katie is trying an unconventional method of treating me. She is using a little needle and is injecting a steroid into my tumors to try to shrink them. The plan is to keep those little devils small so they don't burst open and I get infection.

I love my Dr Katie! She has squeeze cheese in a can that she spreads on the table and I get to lick it and she also has some other really nummy treats! I have been cone free now for three days and it feels wonderful! On August 9th I will have more injections but I'm not afraid because everyone at my Doctor's house is so good to me.

Please keep me in your thoughts!

Hello everyone in RAGOM land, it's me Bailey! One week ago today one of my cysts opened again and it itched something terrible and was bleeding everywhere. My foster daddy took me to my vet and he gave me more medicine!

I don't mind because I get to eat it in canned food and it's yummy! The bad part is I have to wear a cone on my head so I don't lick my ouchy. Can you believe it! I'm a cone head! I can't believe someone would actually make such a contraption! The good part is that I get a lot of sympathy. It's like poor Bailey has to wear a cone. I'm playing it up big time!

Other than the cysts I'm doing good. I have a great appetite, love my walks and love love love snuggles! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Bailey

Hello everyone, it's me Bailey! Did you know that if you eat six bakery rolls you get a tummy ache? My foster mom thought she put them in a safe place but I found a way to get them and they were so nummy! Shortly after my tummy started rumbling and out came those rolls!

Foster mom called the vet and they said it will be okay. Now any food is either put in the fridge, oven, microwave or any other place my foster mom can hide it. I don't think that's fair!

Last Saturday I did not feel good and would not eat. My foster mom and dad were very concerned and then one of my mast cell tumors opened up and all this icky stuff came out. Now I am on antibiotics and I'm feeling much better. I am on five different medications to keep me comfortable and hopefully shrink those tumors.

My foster family is so thankful to RAGOM for taking care of my medical needs. If you would like to sponsor me, I will be forever grateful!

Love,
Bailey

It is with a heavy heart we share the news that Bailey has mast cell cancer.  A decision was made by RAGOM and Bailey's vet to put her in hospice. Our beloved foster Bailey will live out her life with us and we promised her we will love her and give her the best life possible.

The last needle biopsy made one of her cysts very angry and Bailey was miserable for a few days. No more biopsies! Bailey is on prednisone which is making her very thirsty and hungry. We're hoping to get her off the prednisone soon!

On a happy note, Bailey does not appear to be in pain!  She enjoys her walks, going for car rides and having snuggle time! We are blessed to have Bailey with us, she is such a wonderful girl!

Hi everyone! It's me, Bailey! I grew a new cyst and it was gross. My foster dad took me to the vet and I'm back on oral antibiotics, and my foster mom puts something on it twice each day for infection.

I also have a rash on my little girl tummy, so I get baths twice a week and have to leave the shampoo on for 10 minutes before rinsing. It's really not so bad; I get treats and I'm a super good girl in the tub. My foster mom says I'm a rock star!

I've been really busy going for walks, taking naps, and just being loved. Life is Golden!

Great news! Bailey does not need surgery on the cyst that broke open. After one month of antibiotics it has healed very nicely. She does need a dental and a small cyst removed from her eyelid.

Bailey continues to be a wonderful girl and continues to make new friends with the dogs that I groom. She has started playing with a rope toy with our resident Goldens. She loves food, treats and getting pet!

Last week she got out when a client brought his dog. Bailey ran and my heart stopped! All it took was for me to crunch a treat bag and she came running back home! I was so relieved and gave her treats and kisses for coming back!

Two weeks ago Bailey came to us as a foster and she has settled right in and acts like she's lived here forever. At night she usually beats me to the bedroom and jumps right in and waits for snuggles.

I groom dogs in our home and Bailey gets so excited when people bring their dogs, she just loves everyone! Bailey really enjoys smaller dogs who like to play but also likes the bigger dogs. Bailey grew up with a smaller dog who she loved. Bailey needs to have another dog in her home to make her world complete.

This Wednesday she has a follow up appointment to see if she needs surgery on the mass that ruptured. If so she will also have a small cyst on her right eyelid removed.

Bailey will be spending Easter with us and I started getting the eggs ready to color. She doesn't miss a trick when it comes to food! She's always right there in case something drops. No food can be kept on the counter or table or Bailey will help herself.

Bailey came to us as a foster April 5, 2019, and has made herself right at home. The first two days she had accidents but now will go to the door to go outside. I'm sure she was confused about why she was here but has adjusted very well.

We have a Golden Retriever and a Goldendoodle and they get along great. I also groom dogs in our home and she loves to greet people and their dogs. She seems to be very fond of the little dogs.

Bailey grew up with a smaller dog and two children. Bailey will be 11 in June and lived with the children since they were babies.

She loves to go for walks and chew on dog bones and has never chewed on anything she wasn't supposed to. Bailey will counter surf, so all food needs to be put away. She is a good eater but never gets aggressive with her food.

Bailey does have hypothyroidism but it is controlled with medication. She has a mass on her right hip that ruptured and has been on antibiotics since March 16. She will be rechecked in two weeks to see if she needs surgery. She also has a small cyst on her right eyelid.

Baily is a sweetheart and a great snuggler. She has found my bed as her favorite place to sleep at night. Her fur is as soft as silk and she loves to be pet and pampered.

Bailey is unavailable until she sees the vet April 24, when we find out if she needs surgery.
