My days with my foster family were lots of fun! I got along with my foster siblings very well. Cooper the Beagle loved playing zoomies with me and wrestling in the backyard. Waffles, my older foster sister taught me a lot, including doing my business outside, sitting properly while waiting for our meals and most of all, she helped me find my voice!
I will never forget my foster family, but I know that my furever family will give me a great life full of walks, adventures and lots of treats.

Pepper arrived in our home two weeks ago. She brought a lot of sunshine, good puppy vibes, and tons of laughter in our home. After two weeks with us, we are confident that she's ready to find her forever home!
Here's some things we learned about Pepper:
- When Pepper arrived in our home, we noticed that her left eye was always teary. During her first vet check, we found out that she had a medical condition called mild entropion - a condition where an eyelid folds inward, and there is little inversion and contact with the ocular surfaces, causing low-grade discomfort and excessive tearing. This has been treated, and she is now recovering very well.
- Pepper loves playing in the backyard. Sho loves fetching a ball, but her ultimate favorite activity is fetching and picking up sticks in the backyard. Pepper is very active and loves being outdoors - even when it's raining.
- Pepper needs work on leash walking. Because she is a puppy, she gets distracted very easily. She loves sniffing the grass (and sometimes eating it) and checking out the smells of the trees and fire hydrant. But when guided very well, she listens and can walk continuously without stopping.
- Pepper is very good in the car. She will check out the surroundings for the first few minutes of the ride and will eventually lay down and sleep.
- Pepper is very good in her nice, cozy crate. She sleeps in the crate at night. On days when I work in the office, she stays in her crate for 7-8 hours. Our neighbor lets her out for playtime and potty breaks at noon or early afternoon. On days when I work from home, she takes lots of naps under my desk. She is a very well-behaved, laid-back puppy. We go outside every 2-3 hours for potty breaks and some fetch or playtime with her foster brother and sister.
- Pepper loves chewing on plush toys and shredding paper. She is very treat-motivated, thanks to her Beagle foster brother, Cooper, who trained her very well. So far, she knows "sit," "come," and sometimes "stay." She listens very well and will stop with a firm "no." We are still working on recall.
If you want the sweetest, cutest puppy to add sunshine and happiness to your home, Pepper may be the perfect dog for you. It's true that a dog is man's best friend—just look at those eyes! If your heart doesn't swell when looking at this adorable puppy, we don't know what will.
