Sunshine, now known as Harper, has been adopted by a wonderful retired couple. She has a new Golden sister who promises to always be a good big sister. She has a big, beautiful fenced yard to run and play in. And her mom and dad are home most of the time and know all about the patience needed for a retired commercial breeding dog.
Sunny/Harper has hit the jackpot and we couldn’t be happier for the entire family!

Sunshine (Sunny) is making such good progress since she came into RAGOM almost seven weeks ago. She has such a "sunny," happy personality! She loves all people and comes up to everyone, even strangers, for pets and treats. Her favorite place to be is beside us!
She gets along great with all dogs with whom she has come in contact. Sunny plays with our resident dogs and even engages them in play. She loves doing zoomies in our fenced back yard and will run and jump for long periods.
Sunny goes in and out of doorways by herself now, which is a big deal for a dog who has come from a commercial breeding facility. Sunny is still startled by noises, but mainly outside noises, such as a tree being trimmed as we were walking this morning. Inside noises don’t seem to bother her as much anymore. She is such a sweet girl, a ray of sunshine!

Sunshine has been under the care of RAGOM for a month now. Since she came from a commercial breeding facility, she is learning how to be a dog. And she gets better every day! Any noise startles her (even a sneeze) and she jumps and flinches often. But, little by little, she is improving.
She gets along great with our four dogs. She doesn’t quite know how to initiate play, but she is trying. She wouldn’t go through the back door at first, but now will go out willingly with the other dogs. She wags her tail frequently and gives us her special ‘Sunny’ smile.
Sunny eats well and needs to gain a little weight. Her coat is improving with good nutrition. She has had no accidents in the house, but doesn’t know yet how to signal that she needs to go outside. She sleeps all night on a dog bed in our bedroom. She also has a favorite dog bed in the dining room. She has been very quiet during recent thunderstorms. She walks very nicely on a leash and is getting used to cars and trucks going by.
Sunny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with all vaccinations. She is very healthy.
She is an absolutely gorgeous girl, as you can tell from her pictures. She will need a fairly quiet home and a family who is willing to be patient as she develops into the shining star that she was meant to be.
