Little Murphy found his forever family—yay! His new name is Abraham, or Abe for short.
He has a mom who is an avid gardener and walker, so that will be awesome because he loves being outside. And even better yet, his mom works from home, which will be good after being shuffled around before he came into RAGOM.
His new dad has had Golden Retrievers all his life, so he’s excited to expand his horizons with a perky Goldendoodle who loves to retrieve balls. They sent me a picture the second day Abe was there, and it was a kiss-a-thon with him kissing on Kevin.
They also have a 13-year-old female Golden Retriever who is a calming influence and is showing Abe the ropes. Abe is finally home!
It was an honor to foster Abe, and I know he is in the best hands with his new family. Please join me in wishing Abe and his family the very, very best!

Meet Murphy, an adorable 1.5-year-old male Goldendoodle. He is a little peanut who weighs 35 pounds.
He had his wellness vet visit and is now up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. He has also been neutered. The vet said he needs to gain a few pounds, but otherwise is as healthy as can be.
Murphy came to us from a Good Samaritan – thank goodness because you’d be hard pressed to find a sweeter dog. He loves people and is a cuddlebug. He’ll lay on the couch next to us for hours as long as tummy rubs are involved.
He is good with our resident dogs (male and female), and he wants to be part of the group when we go for walks. He loves being out and about, and we’ve been practicing his leash walking skills. I don’t think he was taken for walks in his original home.
Murphy marked a couple of times early on when he first got here, but there hasn’t been a problem since he was neutered.
He is crate trained, although he’d much rather sleep on the bed. He hasn’t been destructive since he’s been here, and he hasn’t shown any signs of separation or storm anxieties.
Murphy is young and will need obedience classes. He is incredibly smart and I think he’d love agility!
A good fit for him will be a family who will get him out and about for stimulation and continued socialization. He is a real gem!
