Our girl, Maggie (formerly Cherry), joined our family about 8 weeks ago, and what a sweet girl she is!
Maggie can be skittish, and it took her a few weeks to get comfortable with her surroundings. She still gets nervous, especially in new situations, but is much better and seems to be gaining confidence - she still does not like car rides, but we are working on that.
She loves her walks, playing with sticks, cuddling on the couch, and chasing balls in the yard; and I am happy to report she is 100% house trained. She’s had a chance to meet and play with other dogs and does well with them. Her dog cousin, Stella, stayed with us for a weekend, and those two had a blast!
We love this special girl so much and are so happy she is part of our family!

I am super-excited to have found my furever home! My new mom and dad are super-duper nice! I feel so lucky that they chose me.
My foster dad told me he was so impressed with the growth and development he saw in me in the short time we spent together. I was very unsure of my surroundings when I first arrived at his house. It took me some time to get adjusted and to feel comfortable, but once I did things were so much better.
I am capable of learning all kinds of commands. I have learned sit, and I have learned down. I've just recently learned how to shake, and that's pretty neat. The people I meet seem to all get quite a kick out of that one.
I am so thankful for my new mom and dad. They are so good to me. My new home is wonderful. I have a nice big fenced-in yard that I can play and run around in. I have everything I need to be the absolute best Golden I can be. I'm going to absolutely thrive in my new furever home with my awesome new furever family. Let's get this party started!

Hello, my name is Cherry. I’m 16 weeks old as of July 26, 2019. As I am still a puppy, I have lots of learning ahead of me. But my foster dad tells me I’m doing so great so far!
When I first arrived at his house, I was pretty shy. I liked to stay in the entry way of my foster house during my first day there. But it did not take me long to get comfy, and within a couple of days I felt bold enough to venture out into the kitchen and the hallway to where my food and water is kept.
I like to go outside several times a day. A good stick is always fun for me to find, and I like to haul and carry one around and play with it. I am also really starting to like playing "fetch." Though my surrendering owner said I was not potty-trained, I am really starting to get the hang of it. Foster dad tells me it won’t be long and I’ll be good to go and fully house-trained.
I’ve been working on some basic commands: sit, down, etc. I feel like I’m picking them up pretty quickly. When I do what my foster dad tells me, he gives me a yummy piece of cheese or hot dog. He thinks I have the ability to learn all kinds of stuff. I say that I will do just about anything if there’s a nice little reward in it for me. As I love to please my foster dad, this works out pretty neat for both of us.
I know living with my foster dad is just a temporary gig. He keeps telling me that I’m gonna make some lucky family very happy someday when I find my fur-ever home. I hope I can make them just as happy!
