Our precious Angel has been adopted by a marvelous couple who are both home most of the day. That guarantees many walks and trips to various locations since the couple loves to travel, and so does Angel!
She will no longer have to compete for attention with Golden sisters; she is the "only" dog in her new home! But, she has six cat friends, one of whom is convinced she is a dog and has adopted Angel as her very own.
I'd say Angel hit the jackpot when this coupe fell in love with her through conversations with them, text messages and lots of videos shared with her new parents. Initial reports are that all is going well!

Trying to take a picture of Angel presents a challenge: she comes directly to me when I say her name and all I get is a picture of her cute little nose and pearly white teeth. I did get an updated picture that captures her joyful nature.
Each day I learn more about this amazing little girl. For example:
Angel loves to run and play. She has energy to spare, but settles in nicely to nap after chasing balls or running in the back yard with our dogs. One or more walks a day is a must for this little beauty. She walks nicely on leash with a big smile on her face.
We know Angel did not have an opportunity to interact with children in her previous life, and lived in a 55-and-older community. She has been interested in the neighborhood children she has met, but not yet had an opportunity to spend extended periods of time with them.
As with any stranger, slow introductions are successful. She tends to give a bark when a stranger approaches her too quickly and she backs away, but given time to sniff and determine there is no "stranger danger," she warms up to new people.

Looking back on her first day with us, I see how far Angel has come. She did not know how to play with other dogs, something her previous owner mentioned. Now she is chasing along with our dogs, play wrestling, sharing toys, even chasing and retrieving tennis balls. She walks nicely on leash alongside our dogs, prancing with her tail held high.
Angel “grumbles” if she is anxious or when she goes into our garage on her way outside. I believe it is her way of talking when she wants to play. It is not a growl. Our own dogs periodically talk this way so I am not concerned, just watching and listening to learn her language and cues.
She is 100% potty trained; no accidents and is not constantly asking to go outside, but will approach and paw us if she needs to do so.
Angel was not crate trained when she came to live with us. We introduced a wire crate with her bed inside and she loves it, often napping there during the day with the door open and at night without barking or whining.
We discovered she is completely dependable with free roam of our home. She was crated while we were going to be gone. I returned home 4 hours later and was greeted at the door first by our two dogs and then Angel. I must not have latched the crate well and she opened it, probably shortly after I left.
With great trepidation I started looking around for destruction, expecting something to be amiss or destroyed and at the worst, a dead cat. Nothing was out of place and Angel passed the cat test beautifully!
Angel does not appear to be storm anxious. We just had a horrendous thunder storm with tornado sightings in our area, accompanied by sirens. We all went to the basement and Angel was confused by the new activity and a bit anxious, but not overly so.
Her previous owner mentioned she doesn't particularly like men. My husband had one low growl when he first greeted her. I corrected HIS behavior and now Angel is a tail-wagging lover with him!
We are cautious when she first meets strangers. Watching her, I think somewhere along the line someone has harshly disciplined her, since she tends to be hand shy and lower her head when first approached. Given a few minutes and space, she has been friendly with everyone she’s met.
One of her other tendencies is to jump up on people, but she responds to "down”. We are working on great, joyful greetings with four on the floor.
Angel is good with treats and food. She sits and waits her turn for a treat, and she respects both resident dogs' meals. She is not a resource guarder and shares toys, treats and food willingly. She travels reasonably well in the car, but gets a little restless after an hour or so.
She’s had her vet appointment and we know more about her health (she’s healthy other than testing positive for Lyme), up-to-date with immunizations and scheduled her spay. She is on 21 days of Doxycycline for Lyme, even though she shows no symptoms and is completely healthy.
