Welcome beautiful RAGOM girl Halo, named for the angel that rescued her from a commercial dog breeder.
She is a beautiful and sweet girl who is learning what it is like to live in a house with two cats and two resident dogs who are showing her the ropes. She loves my resident dogs and follows them for confidence. Halo’s forever family must include another medium to large, confident dog to continue providing a role model.
Halo has typical reactions to new things and people that come along with not having been socialized and exposed to them for the first four years of her life. She startles easily at sudden movements and loud noises, and she needs time to trust humans. Therefore, children in her home should be dog savvy and 13 years old or older.
She has been updated on her shots, is heartworm negative, and has been spayed. Initially she was treated for hookworms and is now clear. Halo has been on an anti-anxiety medication to help her with all the new changes and she has been adjusting well.
Halo is learning to walk on a leash with her two foster brothers. She is starting to relax and will stop to smell what her fur brothers are smelling. A physical fence will be required in Halo’s forever home to keep her safe; she is a risk for fleeing if startled.
Halo has a way to go but she loves to be petted and will stay by you for hours just wanting affection. Halo responds to love and will, with patience, make a wonderful family member.
