Profile

George came into RAGOM from a small breeder. He is adjusting to life as a family member and takes cues from his foster home’s resident dog. George will require another medium to large, confident dog in his forever home to serve as his mentor. He has not been tested with cats. Because George is still learning social skills, children in his home should be age 10 or older. A physical fence is required to keep George safe while he plays with his humans and dog buddy.

George was adopted by a family who has adopted from RAGOM before! The family includes mom Joni, son Mitchell, and a daughter who visits often. George will also join the resident dog Maddie (RAGOM Golden) and the family cat.

He will enjoy Mitchell being home full-time right now and Joni works regular hours. The freedom he will have outside in a big fenced yard with lots of trees and sticks to chew on will bring him lots of joy. George will be very loved by his new family and will give them tons of love in return!

Please welcome handsome George to RAGOM!

George has adjusted to our home very well and we are enjoying our time with him. Our resident dog, Riley, is a good role model for George and he is learning to understand his role as a family member. He likes to follow Riley around and they get along great. He has learned how to trust us and sticks close to us as we are moving around the house. George is very social and loves lots of petting!

He has learned the basic commands very quickly: his name, sit, stay and come. He also loves to play with all the dog toys and even fetches the tennis balls when tossed. And he loves our daily walks! He needs to work on taking cues from people when they are done petting, and we are also working on not jumping on people. He is very gentle when he does it, but not good manners!

George had an ear infection and skin infection when he came into RAGOM and they have been treated.

He would do best in a home with no little kids at this time (children should be age 10 or older) as he is still working on his personal space and social skills. He also needs a home with another medium to large, confident dog so he can continue to learn how to do what dogs do best!

George would love to be in a home that is active and loving. He will be your best friend and will continue to learn how to be a great family dog.
