Profile

Hank was lovingly surrendered to RAGOM when his family realized that he needed more human companionship than they were able to provide. An ideal home for this sweet boy is one where his people enjoy spending lots of time with him. Hank requires a physical fence and dog-savvy children over 8, if any. He can live with medium to large dogs, but does not like small dogs or cats. Daily exercise is a must, and regular outdoor adventures would be a plus.

Hello, RAGOM fans! I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Hank, and I have been in foster care for a month now. I really enjoy it here as I have nice dog beds and get to rest on the couch, and the best thing is I am next to the people all the time.

During the first few days here, I was a little nervous and I was a little frisky with my new roommates. The little girl told me off, so I do not mess with her anymore, and the big boy needed some assistance from Foster Mom and Foster Dad just telling me to "leave it." My roomies forgave me, and we all pal around the house together and do not have any disagreements.

I am 100% housetrained and I do not get into anything inappropriate. I get to free-roam the house 24/7.

When my RAGOM transporter picked me up, I had never been on a leash. I am quite the puller, so my Foster Mom and Dad use a Gentle Leader when we walk.

I am not reactive when I see other dogs on my walks. I get a long walk every day and I have gone as far as 7 miles in one outing. We have not been able to do the activities that my foster family usually does (daycare, training studio, pet store) because of a virus going around.

I was able to get to the groomer before the virus came to our area. I did really well there and I look and feel fantastic! I love it when Foster Mom combs me - it's heavenly! I also went to the doctor for my wellness exam, and everything checked out A+!

Foster Dad takes me and my roomies on car rides some days. I have learned to jump up into the vehicle and love going for a drive. I had only been on car rides to the vet in my previous home, so this has been a great new experience for me.

So, my foster family says I am a very good boy. I have not done anything naughty and I really just want to be with my people. They let me on the couch, and sometimes I go on the bed, so no one is stopping me now! If you don't like dogs on your furniture, I do not want to live with you - I just want to be pampered!

My previous family told RAGOM that I do not like small dogs or cats. My foster home does not have either, and we have not met any small dogs or cats on our walks. If we do see them, Foster Mom says we will steer clear.

Maybe a medium to larger dog would be fine, but another dog is not a requirement. I really just want people to love me and I will give you my big, forceful paw when I want my pets.

In my forever home, I would like someone to spend a lot of time with me. I need and thoroughly enjoy my long daily walks. I would like to experience new things and places and go on adventures.

Would you be able to provide these things for me each and every day? These are just little things that I will thank you for with my big heart for the rest of my life.

Oh, and I almost forgot! On April 8th, I turned 2 years old, and we had a little party at our house. Foster Mom and Dad gave me a basket full of treats and toys, and I even had a party hat! We took pictures, they sang to me, and my foster fur brother tried to sing along!
