Profile

Sally came into RAGOM from a breeder auction. Sally is a healthy girl who is busily learning all about living in a home. She can live with children of any age, but her jumping up means interactions with children should be monitored. Sally needs a young, medium/large, confident dog to learn from. A fence is optional if there is a solid plan to keep her safe. Sally needs a patient, loving home in which she gets training, exercise, and socialization to become the best dog she can be.

Our little Sally (now called Maisie) has been adopted by a wonderful family. We will miss her goofy personality, seeing her rock herself in our rocking chair and her snuggles.

Her new family has promised to give her lots of stuffies to de-stuff. She may not have been golden colored but she is a Golden at heart, happy tails Maisie!

Welcome the beautiful Sally to RAGOM! Sally is a 6 month old Golden Retriever/ Cocker Spaniel mix. If you love Goldens but wish they came in a different color, Sally may be the girl for you. She has the face and ears of a Cocker but the build and personality of a Golden.

Miss Sally came to us from an auction so not much is known about her early life. She has been in foster care for almost a week and she has brought a lot of joy to our home. She loves to be loved, lots of pets and attention, she is also a pro at the Golden nudge.

Her vet visit was pretty uneventful. She is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She did have a very mild ear infection that should clear up just fine. Unfortunately with the current restrictions on elective vet surgeries in Minnesota she is unable to be spayed at this time. Her adoption will have to wait until she can be spayed.

Sally is very much a puppy and will need lots of attention and training. She is getting much better at walking on a leash. Potty training and crate training are a work in progress. She does sleep through the night in her crate.

We think she would do best in a home with another dog. She loves to play and wrestle with our resident dog so her future family should have a younger dog. She is good with our boys that are 6 and 7 but any interactions between them are closely monitored as she does still jump up.

Before you apply for Sally I urge you to consider very strongly whether a puppy is for you. Do you like to sleep in? Sally doesn’t. Do you hate going outside in the rain, snow and cold? Sally goes outside approximately every 4 hours.

Do you have really nice things that can’t be chewed on? Sally loves to chew, and not always on appropriate items!

If you weren’t considering a puppy before the boredom of “social distancing,” a puppy probably isn’t for you.

If you have the patience, time and a solid plan for training her and making her the best possible dog she can be, we would love for you to apply!!
