Mr. DouDou, or Buddy as we have been calling him, joined us on October 23rd all the way from Wuhan, China. He was part of RAGOM's Paws Across the Ocean rescue mission and we couldn’t be happier that he landed at our house. He is sweet, loving, inquisitive, and will be your best friend.
DouDou has adapted quickly to his new life. He enjoys going for long walks and walks very well on a leash. He also enjoys car rides and trying to figure out what the heck squirrels are.
DouDou is completely housebroken and has never had an accident in our home. We initially crated him at night and when we would be gone more than a couple minutes but he is now completely free roam.
He is an advanced level counter surfer and will take the opportunity to explore the counter. Foster mom forgot and left a loaf of pumpkin bread close to the edge, turns out he LOVES pumpkin bread! Lesson learned and all food is put away :)
DouDou is in excellent health. He was a favorite at the vet! He is a healthy 56 pounds, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all shots.
DouDou has a very sweet personality and loves affection. He will lean in for pets and before you know it he is sitting on your lap giving you a hug. He has also become fond of laying on the couch but will only come up if invited. With his sweet personality he might be a candidate for therapy dog work.
He gets along with our resident dog and they will play but he could also be an only dog. He is eager to learn and knows sit, down and shake so far.
If you are looking for a sweet, loving new best friend, this is your guy.
