Profile

Meet Yoshi, a smart, loving, and loyal dog who was surrendered to RAGOM when it became clear he was not comfortable living with another dog. Because he seems to have developed an aversion to other dogs, Yoshi must be an only dog. Children in his home should be age 13 or older and he would do best in a calm environment. He lived with a cat in his previous home, but he hasn’t been tested with cats since coming into RAGOM. A physical fence is required to keep him safe.

Yoshi is so happy to have found his ‘furever’ home this week. His new owners had been wanting another Golden since their last Golden passed, and Yoshi was the perfect fit. He will no doubt be getting all the snuggles and cuddles he loves so much.

I will definitely miss having this sweet boy around but am so glad to know he will be going to such a good home!

Welcome to RAGOM, Yoshi! He started out quite timid when he came into my home but has really warmed up and is always looking to snuggle now. He thrives on affection and will definitely need that from his new family.

This sweet boy is definitely a master of the ‘Golden nudge’! If you stop petting him, he is quick to nudge you to start back up again. He’d let you pet him all day if he could.

Yoshi really enjoys playing fetch in a gated field in my area and going on our daily walks. He does get worn out pretty easily so he will look to cuddle up and relax after playtime.

He is very nervous when meeting new people but is very good with them once he gets to know them. He does get quite anxious when seeing other dogs/humans while out on walks. He tends to bark a lot when he sees anybody. It is something we’re working on and will need to continue to be worked on with him in his new home. Because of this, he cannot go to a home with any other dogs.

Yoshi will do best in a calm environment because he gets pretty anxious if there is a lot going on. For that reason, it is best he go to a home that is adult only. However, kids aged 13 or older is a possibility.

I started out crating him while at work but noticed he would get pretty worked up being in there. I tested giving him free roam throughout the whole entry way and into the kitchen and he did great. No accidents and there wasn’t anything chewed on or destroyed!

He had his first vet visit since coming to my home and he did have a little bit of an infection in one ear but recently finished treatment for it and is all better now. Other than that, he’s one healthy, beautiful Golden!

Yoshi is a very smart, loving, and loyal dog that will make the best addition to his new ‘furever’ home!
