Moochi has found his perfect forever home! He will have a large fenced back yard to play with his new fur brother Hudson, a Golden doodle similar in size.
The family is committed to providing Moochi the behavior training that he needs and are also going to pursue agility training. Moochi craves attention and he now has 4 humans for pets, cuddles, and unconditional love!

Moochi loves to play with foster sister MaoMao. They wrestle and run thru the house, sometimes for up to 3 hours total a day. He would do best with another confident dog in the home not just for play but to allow him to have a lead dog to follow and pal around with. He has shown anxiety when in a home with no other dog.
He has the house training down pat and consistently nudges the bells to go out.
We continue to work on his tendency to jump up. For walks we have switched to a gentle leader so jumping during walks happens rarely. Now the jumping up is more about excitement whether it is getting ready for a walk or our coming home.
Socialization is still a work in progress. When on walks he is fearful of people and cars that pass by which he expresses with whines or barks. If I can get down to his level and hug him, his reaction is much much less. This shy guy just needs continual exposure so he can become comfortable with a previously unknown world.
This is a picture of Moochi and MaoMao playing. They are hilarious to watch!

Moochi came into RAGOM’s care as an honorary Golden on Dec 12, 2020 because his owner was experiencing health issues. He is 1 year old and a big lanky guy @ 78 lbs. He is very easy going, loves walks and playing with his foster sister MaoMao 20-114C.
Moochi will need a family that is willing to put a lot of time into training. I don’t think he has had any training yet. Once that is addressed he will make a wonderful family dog.
Moochi has no health issues, is UTD on shots, and neutered. He respects baby gates, and sleeps and eats in a gated off area separate from MaoMao. According to his surrendering owner, he is fearful of loud noises, storms, and fireworks.
The first thing we worked on for training with Moochi was house training. Within the first week he got the hang of asking to go out to do his business by standing at the back door. Sometimes he will nose the bells, and we will continue to reinforce that.
The second thing we have been working on is not jumping up on people or mouthing your arm or hand. Often he does that because he is excited, so we are teaching him ‘sit’ to address that behavior.
The other times when he jumps up or mouths are during walks and seem to be related to socialization. Socialization for him is more around getting used to seeing things in the outside world.
It is like everything is new for him whether it is in the form of a person, a car, a dog, or even a mailbox or garbage can. He needs reassurance not to be afraid. During walks I verbally praise him often and give him treats.
Moochi is a big time cuddler with no personal space boundaries. If I invite him on the bed, he will cuddle right next to me laying his face on my neck! If I am sitting on the couch, he is sitting or laying right in front of me. If I am sitting on the floor, he could easily be sitting on me!
It is important to remember that Moochi is only 1 year old and is a stealthy thief of soft things like socks, hats, towels, or paper. He can counter surf easily. Everything must be kept up high until he is trained more for commands like ‘no’, ‘down’, and ‘trade’. He loves hard plastic toys and Nyla bones as a substitute.
