Ella is delighted to report her adoption. She already is cuddling up with her new brother, Bert, and her furever mommy on the couch.
Although Ella was a pretty social doggie coming into RAGOM, it was such a thrill to watch her blossom as a curious young lady who loved watching the squirrels through the window, smelling everything in sight when she was outside, and sprawling out on the bed in the true Golden life.
Ella moved from a shy, afraid girl to a bold, excited, and loyal companion. She is so extremely grateful for the wonderful work of RAGOM and her kind, patient, and loving foster dad and sister Raygan. Another happy ending for a retired breeding girl who now is spoiled rotten and living her best life.

Hello everybody, my name is Ella and I am an adorable and sweet three year old purebred Golden Retriever. I've lived in my foster home for two months and have shown my foster Dad and new friend Raygan how loveable, calm, and grateful a young girl can be.
I am a retired breeding girl and my last and final litter was in November 2020. I am now spayed and am up to date on all of my vaccinations, (well except Covid). I was challenged with double ear infections and a large hematoma on my ear which have since been taken care of by my kind veterinarian team - who by the way all want to adopt me!
I'm an active girl and have some strong hunting tendencies as I sniff, follow scents and chase squirrels and chipmunks! I love to play with humans and dogs but it takes me some time to acclimate to other dogs, especially male dogs.
I don't think I've ever seen a cat and I'm pretty hesitant around small children. I am so intrigued with the outdoors I will sit and look out the window for hours!
Although I am three years old I have some puppy tendencies with my play, fear of loud noises, and I am learning not to chew remote controls or reading glasses when the humans leave the room.
I am very much NOT a fan of my large kennel but because I still get into some mischief my foster Dad places me there when he is gone more than a few hours. I have learned the love of soft furniture and beds and my ideal forever home would allow me this luxury. I promise that I do not shed very much at all!
Because of my love of movement my ideal home must have a fenced yard for me to play in and lay outside for hours if I can. I have learned so much from my new friend Raygan that an older, confident dog would be necessary for me to continue to learn and grow. I look to Raygan for most everything and pick up on her good, and bad, habits rather quickly.
That said, because I love to play I would hope that my new furry mentor friend would like to play as well. I would do very well in a home with children but because of my occasional skittishness it's best they are all 8 years old or older.
As humble as I am, I have to say that EVERYONE that meets me comments on my beautiful red coat, radiant dark brown eyes, and my fun but calm demeanor. I'm a hunter by day and a cuddler by night for sure.
I attach easily and really just want a best friend to be with. I like to follow my foster Dad around the house to see what he's up to and to let him know that I love to just be near him. I listen well, sleep like a baby (on my back a lot) and know to do my business outside. I bark at things outside on occasion but otherwise I am quiet and content as can be.
I SO look forward to meeting my forever family so I can continue to grow and love in the deepest way that only Golden Retrievers like me know how!
