Bear was adopted by a wonderful couple who love the outdoors and are looking forward to having Bear join them on their adventures. Bear loves to be with people (and his giant Lambchop) and will get to enjoy working from home with Tyler.

Bear came into RAGOM by no fault of his own. His family had to move and could not take Bear with him so they lovingly surrendered him to RAGOM. Since he's been in our home, he's been a great houseguest.
Bear is a typical, happy Golden. He's quite persistent with his nudges when he wants attention and loves everyone he meets. He has free roam in our house and sleeps next to the bed. He gently wakes me up with a cold nose about 6:30 if I'm not already up.
He is house trained and has not had one accident. Because he loves everyone, he wants to be close and that can mean using his size to push his way closer to you and pushing another dog out of his way.
Although Bear is gentle, he's quite tall and his nose (and tongue) can reach the top of the countertop with four paws on the floor. We have not witnessed counter surfing, but his previous owner said he would counter surf if left alone. He will also get in the garbage if left uncovered. He's very treat driven and sits nicely for treats and takes them gently.
Our resident dog is 6 years old and Bear gets along with him well but he does butt in if he sees our dog getting attention. He can easily push over a small child unintentionally, so kids over 5 would be best suited for Bear's forever home.
The dogs eat at the same time, about 8 feet apart. There have been no issues between them while they eat.
Bear needs to have at least one daily walk. He walks great with a Gentle Leader, otherwise he will pull on a leash.
We've met dogs along the way and he is very curious, but so polite. He does not bark if he sees another dog.
If he gets bored, he will go to the front door and whine where we leave for walks. If we can't go when he wants, he will go lie down. He does like stuffies and tennis balls but is not obsessed. He will also destuff a toy if he gets bored.
I crated Bear the first two nights he was with us. He quietly whined for a few minutes, then slept through the night. We've left him with free roam during the day for a couple hours with no issues. Bear has not chewed on anything inappropriate.
Bear likes to sleep under my desk while I work at home. Sometimes he just takes up too much room and I don't let him under. He will go lay somewhere else. He also insists on sitting under the kitchen table (along with our resident dog!).
Bear just wants to be with his people. He's such a snuggler and has jumped on my son's bed and I'm sure he would love to sleep with him.
He resists getting down but with positive coaxing, he will comply. He does get mouthy when he gets excited. He will put his mouth on your arm but does not bite. We are working on this.
I have not tested Bear with cats, but he lived with one in his previous home. He has typical interest in watching birds and squirrels. He doesn't bark very much.
Bear just had a vet visit and aside from treatable ear infections, he's in great health. He's up to date on all his shots and is neutered. Bear has a very thick coat and has a groomer appointment to get some of his undercoat brushed out. He will jump in the back seat and rides nicely in the car.
Bear's forever home should be one where the family can commit to daily walks, lots of attention and diligent grooming to keep his shedding to a minimum.
Bear would love to go on hikes and spend time outdoors with his people. Bear loves to be in your face and is not a big licker but you just might get a gentle kiss! Bear could be an only dog or live with other dogs and/or cat.
Bear has not attempted to bolt out the doors. He waits for me to go with him to go potty so you will need to at least go out where he can see you while he does his business. We have not had him through a storm yet, but the previous owner said he had no storm anxiety.
He's such an awesome guy, there is a lot to love with this big teddy bear!
