Henry came to RAGOM when his family felt they didn’t have the time for him that he deserved. This sweet boy is well-behaved, playful, loving, and handsome as can be. Henry cannot live with cats and doesn’t get along with all dogs, so he must be an only dog in his home. Because Henry sometimes gets overly excited when greeting, children in his forever family should be at least 5 years old. A physical fence is required.

This darling fella has found his person and forever home! He has been a wonderful boy and will continue to thrive, spending more time playing ball, walking, napping, and being loved. He will be a great companion for his new mom, and they will spend many happy times together. His sweet personality will earn many new friends to boot!

Henry is a very good boy. He is a well-mannered, handsome guy that loves to play ball! He is always up for playing fetch and shows off his skills catching the ball on the first bounce and brings it back perfectly - placing it right into your hand.

This athlete has been doing better on walks. We started using a Gentle Leader, and his pulling has subsided tremendously, although he still gets excited when we come across critters, and as mentioned before, some dogs he will want to play with and others make him react with hackles up and occasional barking.

I haven’t figured out why some dogs are OK and others aren’t. Because of this, it is best he is the only dog and has a fenced yard. Dog parks are not an option, but long walks and playing in a fenced yard are enough to expend this boy’s energy and keep him happy and fit.

He does great indoors and has no issues with food, separation, guarding, or accidents. He is non-destructive when left alone. He comes in when called, unless he is focused on a critter, but will eventually listen. He sleeps straight through without waking and will let you know when it is time to get up and go outside. Come sundown, Henry relaxes on the floor or couch, cuddles, and closes his eyes.

He loves belly rubs and wants to be near you. He still gets very excited (happy) to see you when you return, greeting you with a minute or two of  wiggles and a ball-in-mouth whimpers - sounding like a Canadian Goose!

This boy does well with kids and would love nothing better than a day of play. This handsome fella is a sweet, soft, good-looking, athletic buddy.

Henry is a beautiful 3-year-old, neutered Golden Retriever with a sweet, playful personality. He loves people and particularly loves playing fetch and is very athletic. He weighs 57 pounds, has a beautiful soft coat and bright white teeth, and is up to date on vaccines and very healthy. We will be microchipped soon.

He has good manners: knows sit and lay down, the meaning of no, comes when called, and sits before being fed. He has free roam of the house when I’m gone without any issues. He sleeps on the bed through the night.

Henry is a very happy dog, but he can sometimes get overly excited when greeting so we are working on that. Mostly just major wiggles and excited whines, but quickly settles down in a minute or two. He would do well in a family with children who are at least 5 years old.

Because Henry doesn’t get along with all dogs, a physical fence is required to keep everyone safe. Also, he should be the only dog in the home. He will often get excited about some dogs and give signals that he wants to play. But he is reactive to other dogs and will bark, get his hackles up, and may look to fight. Slow introductions to potential playmates would be required.

This boy is so sweet and everyone he meets agrees. He is well-behaved, playful, loving, and handsome as can be.
