RAGOM Welcomes Turkish Golden Retrievers to Minnesota [1]
Opportunity
The latest rescue of 17 Golden Retrievers from the streets of Turkey. RAGOM has previously rescued 51 Golden Retrievers from Turkey. This event is an appreciation celebration for Turkish Golden rescue donors, volunteers, and newly arrived dogs. Emel, a volunteer from Turkey, will address the challenges of abandoned dogs in Turkey.
Photo and video opportunities will include rescued dogs interacting with each other, their families, and RAGOM volunteers. Patty Larson, Turkish Golden rescue lead, will be available at this event, as well as during the week of May 1 – 5, 2017. Presentation will include photos of dogs before and after rescue, their arrival Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, and RAGOM dogs arriving in Minnesota.
Who
- Meet both newly rescued Golden Retrievers from Turkey, as well as several dogs from previous Turkish rescue missions.
- Interview Patty Larson, RAGOM’s Turkish Golden rescue team leader, foster, and member of the RAGOM Board of Directors.
- Talk to Emel Ucuncuoglu Tekin, RAGOM’s contact in Turkey. Emel is instrumental in rescuing dogs from streets and shelters in Turkey.
