Reba is a gorgeous English Cream Golden Retriever puppy born on May 18th to Patzy 17-106. Reba had a rectal prolapse when she was about 4 weeks old. The vet placed a purse string suture for a week. That solved the problem, and she is pooping normally and expected to have no issues in the future. She has had her first round of vaccinations and will be spayed in a couple of weeks. She is a typical 6-week-old puppy--chews EVERYTHING, digs, runs, and tumbles over her own feet. Just adorable! And very snuggly. She has been socialized with all ages and colors of people, many types of noises from vacuum cleaners to lawn mowers, thunder, planes, etc, floor surfaces, and is very well-adjusted. Her socialization will need to continue in order for it to be sustained. She has a lot to learn, and it is a big responsibility to assist a puppy to become a well-adjusted adult dog. Are you committed to helping her be the best dog she can be?
Please remember as you look at these adorable pictures:
- Puppies are a LOT of work in their first year!
- Puppies have small, immature bladders and cannot go a full work day without being let out. You will need to make arrangements for someone to come in midday to let her out until she is 6 months old.
- Puppies NEED obedience training, socialization, and manners training. RAGOM gets many unmannered, undersocialized dogs surrendered due to the simple lack of training.
