Dorado 12-388

Profile

It is soooo hard to resist fostering a puppy! They are so stinkin' cute and so funny! Dorado is not different. He was surrendered because he has a heart murmur. Most of these murmurs go away as the puppy gets older and cause no harm. This little devil puppy is almost 9 weeks old and full of the business!

Typical of puppies, he is a peeing machine and won't be totally housetrained for several months. His bladder is too small and immature to go a whole day without peeing. We have a dog walker so he gets out during the day for some relief and playtime.

He still has his baby teeth and they are SHARP! Everything goes in his mouth too--electrical cords, books, socks--whatever he can find. He needs to be watched constantly or he gets into mischief.

Of course, he has his ever so sweet and cuddly moments. That is what makes puppies so irresistible, isn't it?

Dorado absolutely loves the snow! Digging in it, running through it, pushing his nose into it. Precious! He also loved my other sweet foster boy Charlie 12-370. They were BFF's!! Charlie moved to another foster today to be closer to the family that wants to meet him. I am sure Dorado will miss him!

Snuggled in for the night with BFF Charlie 12-370

Dorado is named in honor of a very special RAGOM boy who was adopted by a wonderful family. Dorado #1 (RAGOM Lucky 03-218) went to the Rainbow Bridge and his family and friends have donated a large amount of money to RAGOM in his name. It seemed fitting that we would reciprocate in his honor! Dorado 12-388 has some big shoes to fill. Read about Dorado #1 here .

Dorado will be neutered next week, and although my vet could not hear a murmur at his wellness exam, she will check it out thoroughly while he is under. If you are sure that a puppy is the dog for you, contact your placement adviser.
