Sweet little Jinks has found his forever family! He will be living the Golden life with a couple who are four-time RAGOM adopters! Jinks will be able to play in his big yard and large inside office, and get plenty of love and kisses.

I am so proud of this sweet boy and how he has adjusted so well through the whole process to blossom into the loving pup he is!

Jinks now has a foster home of his very own! He is a super affectionate, loving Golden/Lab mix. He loves to be near you and gives lots of kisses. He is a well behaved boy who does fine left home alone, and rides well in a car.

His sweet disposition and desire to be where you are, without being needy, makes for a terrific companion. He likes to go on walks and play with a ball and his squeaky toy. He is very easy to have around, and has no anxieties or resource guarding.

His ideal day would be to get up, do his outdoor business, eat, play and get rubs throughout the day when you are around; nap, snuggle and be your lap dog until the sun goes down when he likes to lay down again. He sleeps on the corner of the bed, and is very courteous. He comes when called and knows a few basic commands.

Jinks 20-142

Jinks is very healthy, neutered, microchipped and UTD on flea/tick/heartworm. He could stand to lose a few more pounds to be at his ideal weight. He eats in am and pm, although can pick at it at times.

He was an outdoor dog, but seems very happy and eager to be indoors cuddled next to you. He is a wonderful, easy, affectionate buddy who is loved by everyone he meets.

Jinks is settling in nicely to his boarding routine. He looks forward to our adventures; something fun to brighten his day. Here is a quick video that shows the grand welcome he gives me every time!

He travels well tethered in the car and is learning to “wait” until it is ok to jump out. We have been going on longer walks on a paved nature trail. His cute, high set ears bop up and down as we walk and let him follow his nose!

Jinks also had a fun adventure in my backyard.

Jinks wonders who will be his life long adventure companion. Is it you?

Welcome Jinks to RAGOM, the path to finding him a new furever home! Jinks came into rescue when a Good Samaritan was asked to help rehome a dying man's animals, which included miniature horses, a cat, and Jinks.

Jinks is staying at a boarding facility until a foster home is found for him. Jinks has lived most of his life as an outdoor dog, but the Good Samaritan said he is house trained, and he has been keeping his kennel space clean.

Jinks 20-142

Jinks is a 4 year old dog, likely a Golden Retriever/ Lab mix. He is a very friendly and an incredibly kissy, lovey dog! He seems to love all people and enjoys a good pet and belly rub.

Jinks has not yet had any chances to interact with children, so his feelings about them is unknown. He does love meeting people, but his reactions to children will need to be observed before we know if he can live in a home with children.

Jinks walks very nicely on leash. It would be ideal if he could lose a little weight to help him enjoy longer walks. He seems to be a pretty low key dog.

Jinks 20-142

Jinks likes to sniff in the grass and bushes and thinks he is pretty important when he gets a squirrel up a tree. This elevated prey drive is why we think Jinks should not live with a cat, although we have not yet tested Jinks with a cat.

Jinks rides in the car nicely and he can jump in and out on his own. When he walked near a road which had cars driving by, Jinks acted as if he might want to chase a car. We will need to be careful with this and observe this a bit more.

Jinks 20-142

Jinks does not enjoy grooming. Patience, practicing some desensitizing techniques, and being quick with things to start may help. Jinks has had a lot of change since he left his old life. He seems to like a slow approach to learning what his new life is like.

Jinks likes toys, in fact, he picked out a new stuffed bear and liked carrying it around. He has not chewed up his new toy or his blanket. He likes a stuffed, frozen Kong for treats too.
