Peaches 08-407

Profile

Meet Peaches, a 15-month-old spayed female purebred Golden. Peaches came from a home where she was very well treated, but did not have the time to devote to her that a young dog requires.

Peaches appears to be housebroken, as she has not had a single accident in the house. She is full of young dog energy and very playful. She walks very well on a Gentle Leader, but will pull on a flat collar. She knows her name and will usually sit on command. However, she needs continued training to be a well-mannered dog. She is very friendly to people and other dogs. She is a very good swimmer and loves to retrieve, however, would rather bring the ball back and tease you with it vs. giving it back---we are working on that. Finally, she is crate trained and I did not hear a beep during her first night in foster care.

Peaches will have her wellness exam later this week and will receive any needed vaccinations. If all goes well at her vet visit, she will be available for adoption by the Labor Day Weekend.

Peaches's ideal adopter will have room for her to burn off some of her energy and have the time and dedication to provide her additional training. She is reported to be good around children but I would not recommend very young children, as she would likely knock them down.

More to come as I get to know her better.

Peaches has been in foster care for one week. I am happy to report that she is fully housebroken without one single accident in the house! She has been a fun dog to have around. She is young, playful and a very nice dog. I don’t think she has a mean bone in her body.

Peaches had a busy weekend of camping and boating. I happy to say that she handled both very well. She was very well behaved with camping with absolutely no barking. She loves the water and really seemed to enjoy swimming with the other dogs. She has been friendly to all people and dogs that she met.

Peaches had her wellness exam last week and is in perfect health!

Currently Peaches sleeps in her crate as that is where she seems comfortable. She settles down nicely and I have yet heard a beep from her during the night.

Due to Peaches playful nature, I feel she would enjoy a family with a child/children over the age of seven to play with her, and help her burn off some of her excess energy. Peaches would enjoy having another dog around but I feel would be fine as the only dog too.

Peaches is ready for a family to call her own.
