Welcome to RAGOM, Radiant Ruby. RR for short.

As this little gem's story goes, she was found as a stray and went to a shelter in southern MN and was scheduled to cross the bridge. The shelter just couldn't do it, so they contacted another shelter. A foster from there almost adopted her, but Ruby was too playful with her dog. Thank you Robin and Karen for contacting RAGOM. And a huge thank you to Kathy for the transport.

Ruby truly is a gem. She has a couple medical issues that we are working on and won't be available until July. She will be a treasure to foster until then. She walks well on a lease. Doesn't need a Gentle Leader. She loves kids. Loves to be brushed and any kind of attention is given back ten-fold. She rides great in the car. She went to the vet today, had a lavish grooming and she is soft and radiant. Her coat sparkles in the sunlight. She goes in her crate when she wants and crates up for the nite with no problem. We've only had her one nite but think we can trust her already. We think she is housebroken, but not sure just yet.

More in a couple days as we get to know RR.

Updates

Hi Everyone. This is my last update. Thanks for reading my blog. My lucky numbers are 7 & 11 cause that's my adoption date.

I have a wonderful family that will love me to pieces. I have a comfy bed and stuffies and balls. It was kinda scary, though. We learned that I have a little storm anxiety. I paced and panted a lot. But they still want me. We signed the papers with a lantern cause the lights were out. Here is me and my new family. See ya at the picnic. Paws crossed ......Ruby Cue.

Hi All,

Happy Weekend from me. FM calls me Ruby Cue now. Don't know why.

I got my stitches out Thursday. My ears are doing really good. Dr. told FM to decrease the dose in the antihistamines and the gunk that's squeezed in my ear. We're gonna try some Omega 3 and Benedryl maybe. Cause I still have some itchies. But it's only when I wake up. My ear fly bites are all healed up.

We go walking every day. Today it was a HOT walk in the park and everyone is exhausted. I'm being home schooled and I'm learning to sit, stay & heel. I have good recall, whatever that means. So that just goes to show that ya can teach an old dog with a new name new tricks.

And I have been cat tested. It did not go well. We were almost nose to nose and we just stared at each other. Then she hissed and batted at my nose and the game was on. Next thing I knew FM yanked me back with a BIG NO. So, maybe I just wanted to play and maybe I wanted it for dinner. We'll never know. FD thinks I might have hunted before because I'm not afraid of loud noises like fireworks. We usually see rabbits and squirrels on our walks. Wanted to climb the tree after a couple squirrels, but I got the BIG NO again. And I have serious hunting posture. Check out my picture. Am I radiant or what?

FM is going UP North today for a couple days so it will be just us girls and FD. We have some plans for him. So, everyone, keep cool and your paws crossed.............RC (Ruby Cue) Thanks for reading about me.

Hi everyone,

It's me RR. Hope you haven't forgotten about me cause I'm still waiting for you. I love it here, but I want a family to call my own forever. If you are interested in me me me, (it's all about me), contact placementatragom [dot] org and let's have a meet 'n' greet.

Today FM took me to the Pride Fest in Minneapolis. We walked around the HUGE park shamelessly promoting me and RAGOM. We almost got lost, but I found our tent and I met a ton of people and dogs. Everyone was so loving and friendly. Speaking of loving, don't tell FM that I fell in love with someone today. His name is Thomas. He stayed at our tent for over 2 hours with me. He gives the best massages & belly rubs. I fell asleep in his lap. FM, Frankie's FM and FD and Bailey's FM are trying to recruit him to foster for RAGOM. Other rescues have asked him to join them, but I think he'll cross over and join us someday. He helped us load FM's car and he is just the best. Thanks again,Thomas.

Hey, what's with all the comments about my big feet? Honestly, I'm getting a bit of a complex. Next to my kissable nose and stunning personality, they are my best feature. I almost forgot to mention that Meg & me played tug o war today for the first time. That was fun. I'm stronger than her and I always win. I'm a true golden now cause I carry around stuff in my mouth. Meg de-stuffs the toys and I drag them outside. FM calls it teamwork.

Here are a couple pics of our big day today. Gotta ask FM how to download the pics.

Thanks for reading about me. Paws crossed............Ruby

Hi everyone, Radiant Ruby here. This might be a short update cause FM didn't feed me this morning. I'm sorta weak. Before I knew what was happening, FM asked me to jump in the SUV and we were off to the Vet. I'll be here all day. Something tells me I won't be so Radiant for a couple days. Gotta get better so I can rest at the picnic Sunday and then be ready for the Pride Festival, Saturday - June 28th from 2:00 to 6:00. Keep your paws crossed. Bet mine are bigger than yours. I think they are my best feature.

Did I tell you that I love kids?! Here are FD & FMs special kids that have their hearts. We are praying that I find a forever family to celebrate Independence Day together.

By the way, we are still working on getting pictures of me in the parade. Guaranteed, you will fall in love with me.....paws crossed....................RR
