Hello my name is Tess….Ragom number 09-373…

Tess is an 11 year old, golden blonde female.  She arrived here in Burnsville, on September 4th, 2009.  She came to us from South Dakota, where her original owners surrendered her to go to college.  She is growing accustomed to our pack here and has become one with the boys, initially she had some resource guarding over her tennis ball, but then she realized that she had gone to tennis ball heaven, where there is always a tennis ball to be had or a Frisbee.

She and the cat have bonded so there is no issues with that at all.  She loves to walk and enjoys her time out in the big yard.  We walk about 2 miles every morning and she jumped right in.

She has some health issues that we are trying to get taken care of, she had some tumors removed from her jaws (one on each side) they were benign, and some fat tumors on her sides that we left alone since they don’t bother her.  Her biggest health problem is that she has a large greenish discharge from her nostrils, initially they thought it was a sinus infection, but she has had a course of antibiotics with no relief, when she was under having her teeth cleaned they scoped her esophagus and found some inflammation, so she now gets 10mg of Pepcid AC. We then thought that it might be allergies so she takes 75 mg of Benadryl every 8 hours which has slowed it down, but has not stopped her discharge.  We go back to the vet tomorrow, so we should know more then. She is a love to have around and a real lady…..more later........
