This Gorgeous, 6 ½ year old, 75lb, Golden Retriever Mix (possible Malamute or Husky) has quite the story to tell...and one only the characters from the book Series of Unfortunate Events could possibly relate to. In 6 ½ years, this beautiful boy has been in a dozen different homes and a dozen different situations. Yet, to meet Pete in person, you would never know it because he lives in the moment and wants nothing more than a Happy Ending. Here is the BIG, furry, sweet, “happy-go-lucky” boy we picked up from boarding and now have the privilege of fostering:

"Yes, I am a wonderful dog—you will see!”

"HI! I’m Pete and you are?”

“Yeah, I think you’re pretty cute too!”

Checking out the new “boundaries”

So...what's the deal with Pete? A series of unfortunate events? A bad rap sheet? Or a GREAT dog looking for his "perfect" family to rescue him and bring him HOME? Here’s what we know about a dog named Pete/Bear based on a compilation of notes from both surrendering owners and foster families:

12/16/04 Baby Pete was born on a family farm.  It is noted that he had a rough start here in an abusive situation as a pup.

04/19/05 Puppy Pete was picked up by a family at 4 months old.  He lived as an outdoor ONLY dog and was confined to a kennel at night and while family was away, otherwise Pete had free roam of the farm property.

11/17/09 Farm Dog Pete was surrendered to RAGOM because the family was moving due to a divorce and could no longer afford him. They noted that Pete was a good dog! He loved children, but was scared of men…esp. if their arms were raised and that he would journey off the farm but always came back. They were unsure if he was neutered (Pete was neutered as a puppy on 3/15/05) and noted that Pete liked to eat farm cats and chickens.

11/17/09 “Sweet Pete,” as he was lovingly named by 1st foster mom, arrived in RAGOM land. Sweet Pete transitioned from outdoor free-roam farm dog to indoor family dog—no easy task! He learned a lot and did well with the resident dogs, but took Foster Mom on many crazy “over the fence” adventures for 5 months and so Pete went to live in another foster home.

4/15/10 Pete’s next foster home did not have another dog.  It was noted he seemed lost without his furry friends and that he was scared of being crated. FM noted she thought Pete would do best in a forever home with another dog(s), older children, no cats, and a tall fence.

5/17/10 Pete lucks out and is ADOPTED by a loving family and is now called “Bear.”

10/21/10 Bear’s new family lived in a townhome, and even though they walked Pete, they realized that they could not give him what he ultimately needed—a place to run & play. They noted issues like excessive barking, running away, resource guarding—all issues related to an unfulfilled dog. Having recently purchased a puppy, they no longer had time for Pete and his exercise needs.

Pete returns to RAGOM and spends time at a Foster that owns a Doggie Daycare/Boarding Facility. Pete does well and starts to get the exercise and care he needs to excel and excel he does!

2/17/11 Pete/Bear moves to a traditional foster “home” in preparation to find him his forever home. Unfortunately, Pete needs room to run and takes his new Foster Mom on some crazy "over the fence" adventures. FM returns to school and with her new schedule realizes that her foster dogs need a home with more time offered to them, so Pete/Bear and his foster sibling go to temp foster homes.

4/15/11 Pete/Bear goes to temporary new foster home until another foster home opens for him though his "rap sheet" is a bit intimidating.

5/10/11 Pete/Bear goes to boarding—befriends some of our other RAGOM dogs waiting for a foster home as well. He proves to be a great guest!

6/07/11 Pete/Bear gets a new foster home—home w/ no yard, no other dogs, but a loving family and daily walks. Foster notes behavioral issues such as excessive barking, reactivity, anxious behavior and an attempted bite to a man carrying dog food. (Arms raised high perhaps?)

6/22/11 Pete/Bear goes back to boarding. Staff LOVES Pete/Bear and noted that he is the happiest “boarded” dog they’ve ever seen. Pete/Bear is one of the favorites and the staff becomes family. He greets them with full wags and licks!

9/09/11 Pete/Bear is sprung from boarding and begins his NEW life with a clean slate:NEW life—DAY #1

Pete arrives at "final" foster home. Meets family as a loving gentleman and greets the resident pack of fur-butts with total respect. Pete will also have to respect the 4’fence that surrounds multiple acres and the chickens across the road (wish us luck!) but has plenty of room to run on a long trailing lead that we’ve used for many previous “Fence-Jumpers.”

Our first few days with Pete have been a total delight as he’s made himself right at home with us! We have not witnessed anything but a very happy boy. No accidents. No aggressive behavior towards strangers or other dogs (male or female). No excessive barking—but will bark to initiate play with our dogs. Eats perfectly with the other dogs in the same 10’ x 10’ area—absolutely no resource guarding of food or toys and takes treats very gently. He likes when you sit by him to eat and adores being pet. Pete is trusted with free roam 100% of the time w/o issue and he sleeps through the night on dog bed next to ours or on the couch.

One very CUTE note---Pete does a horse-like prance when he is excited to go outside and play, and so we’ve nicknamed him “Petey the Prancer.”

More to come as we get to know Pete and what he truly needs in his forever home. So far---he’s been the easiest foster we’ve ever had—that being said on Day #3---the first week of transition is usually the toughest!

PLEASE come out and meet Sweet Pete, Pete/Bear, Petey/Prancer at GOLDZILLA!! Name to be chosen hopefully by then! HA! He’s all buffed and shined and ready to meet his fans…and we all know he has a TON of them! Pete will be in the foster tent from 11-2 and of course will be in the Foster Showcase to show you his playful Prancing strut!

Updates

This is an update we are very excited to write because...

Petey Bear has found his forever family!!!

WE have fallen madly in LOVE with this very special boy named “Pete/Bear.” I think we were in love with him long before he ever entered our home as we watched his journey from afar since 2009---watching him come in and out of foster homes and boarded at times for very long periods--(although he was boarded with the most wonderful care---Thank you Stone Mountain and All Seasons!!!) and then adopted out only to return 6 months later. Well—as you know—Pete finally made his way to our home to be fostered and of course the rest is now history!

We have found in Pete the most wonderful—misunderstood—boy ever! We love everything about him---and in watching him bond with each of our resident dogs--the magic of "belonging" cannot be denied. Pete is the first foster dog that brought out the very best in each of our resident dogs and in turn---they brought out the very best in him and welcomed him into the pack with open “paws.” So….after much thought---and some pretty “interesting” circumstances--we have decided to love Pete forever and make him a part of our very furry family!!! Yes---that’s 4 dogs if you’re keeping track---but then again--it’s not 4 children (that would be crazy right Mom???)

There have been over a dozen foster doggies that we’ve thought about adopting (just about every one at some point while fostering), but even though we knew we were a “good” family for a particular dog, we also knew we were not the perfect” family and so we kept searching until the perfect family was found. Pete, on the other hand, we have watched blossom and relax with our family over the past 4 months and we know without a doubt, we ARE the perfect family for him and he is the perfect dog for us. So…we will be taking a "little" break from fostering to allow our pack to have time to just be a family----and then, when the foster bug bites again, we will be there to help another GReat dog find his forever home.

We want to sincerely thank you all for following Pete's story with us and sending your good thoughts and wishes!  We also want to thank his previous fosters for being part of his life, and to his very special extended family at Boarding---thank you for being his "family" until he found his way Home!!!  He was so lucky to have you!!!!  This is the Happy Ending we always wanted for Pete---but this is no end---that's for sure!  We know there are many wonderful adventures to be had as Pete begins the "next" chapter in his life and we are so excited to be a part of them!

Please stay tuned...Pete will do his best to keep you posted...until we meet again... Laughing

Thank you Pete/Bear Fans!!!  We Love YOU!

Pete and Pete's forever family!

"Good Boy" waiting his turn for ham

We've been waiting for snow around here! YES---we all LOVE snow out here in HUGO and our "little" sled dog sure loves it too!!!!

We finally were able to get the "sleds" out and Pete chased us all over the property. Seriously---we have to measure his speed because he ran right beside the snowmobile the whole way around like it was a walk in the park to him. He is soooooo beautiful when he runs...and sooooo incredibly fast!!!!!

C'mon, one more time!

We received a wonderful email from a Secret Admirer of Pete's-----and self-proclaimed "Biggest Pete Fan" (next to FM & FD of course). This Secret Admirer is a previous RAGOM adopter and she wanted to share a special RAGOM story with us and show us why Pete had caught her eye! As you can see from the picture ...Mr. "Unique" Pete had a twin out there--matching in looks and personality!!! See for yourself!!!

Hi Petey Fans!

Pete had a wonderful Thanksgiving and did so well with all 30 of our guests.  We were a little worried about how we would prevent an escape with so many people coming and going, but our worry was a total waste of energy.  Pete was as good as Gold!  He totally LOVED all the guests---especially the men---which was really cool to see since it had been noted that he was afraid of men in the past.  We have a very LOUD family with many BIG, tall males and I really think Pete finally felt like he fit it with the group---a room full of BIG, tall, handsome Men! We decided he's a "Party Boy" because when we brought him outside to potty, he was quick to do his business so that he could get right back to the party.  Pete totally did us proud and we are so thankful he was so comfortable and enjoyed the day as much as we all did!

We have so many fun moments with Pete, but our daily “routines” are some of best parts.  I thought it would be fun to show you Pete’s morning routine---which by the way--you could pretty much set your clock by every morning!

5:00 am:  The sleeping giant we call “Pete” wakes with a BIG shake that wakes the whole house—intentionally!

5:15 am:  Pete leads the pack and out we go for a quick morning potty break and back in for breakfast.

5:45 am:  Pete settles into position to catch a glimpse of the pheasant & deer visits most sure to come and to watch the sun to wake up so we can go outside and play.

6:00 am:  Pete gets antsy waiting and starts Round #1 of All Star Wrestling with each member of the pack ---a big "hit" with all the dogs except Fancy 11-174!

6:30 am:  Pete tries to convince FD that he should just stay home and play today—so far he hasn’t convinced him yet but there is always tomorrow in Pete’s mind.

“Tell me again why you need to go to work?”

7:00 am:  Sun is up.  FM is almost ready for work so it must be time to go OUTSIDE again!!!  Pete begins to prance and pace---“C’mon FM---it’s TIME to PLAY!”

8:00 am:  Doggies are all worn out.  They all take their places.  FM gives all the doggies “good bye” kisses and Pete gives her the same big, sad pouty face designed to yield a few extra pets.

Yes--it’s sooooo hard to leave this sweet face—as you can imagine—but I know we get to do it all over again tomorrow! J

Hey---Guess WHO has a BIG BIRTHDAY coming up???  Yep---Sweet Pete is turning 7 years old on the 16th of December!  I wonder what he’ll be wishing for???  Any guesses?

Pete thanks all his fans and friends for all the love they send his way.  Believe us---he knows he is loved and that is the most important gift of all!

If you think you may be Pete’s Birthday “Wish”---please let your placement advisor know J

HI Pete Fans!

Well---our “little” sled dog is quite curious about all the critters beneath the snow…so much so, he had himself in quite a tangle!  Don’t even ask me how the leash ended up where it did (in the tree branch) HA!!!

I wasn’t sure how Pete would like the snow---I have been dreaming of days spent being pulled by Sweet Pete on a sleigh through the woods….we’ll have to see how that progresses.  For now, Pete is mesmerized with what lies beneath the snow.

Pete is not tied to anything---his 20’ leash just trails on the ground loose behind him as he runs around.  He’s so used to it, that he stands right next to his collar-leash set-up when its time to go outside and even put his head through the Martingale collar when we hold it open.  Pete knows its just part of the routine around here and he’s happy to comply because he know what’s coming when he puts on that magic leash----LOTS OF FUN!  For us, it’s just a safety as we have plenty of deer out beyond the fence that drive Pete crazy and knowing he COULD jump the fence if he wanted to---we would at least have something to grab on to if needed J At night time, we do hold onto the end…not going to press our luck!

Pete is the happiest boy in town!  He has been a total pleasure to foster, even though we both almost had heart attacks when he was on the run.  He is so genuine, so loving, so silly, yet he has such a child-like innocence to him—so wanting to trust and be loved.  He’s also a big tease and the biggest lover boy!  Did I say, “Quirky?”  That’s my favorite!

Oh how I wish I could show him off to you all in RAGOMLand, but Events are just too much for Pete.  Everyone that meets him falls in love with the BIG LUG, so---if you are interested in meeting the coolest “Cat” in town---please contact your placement advisor.  Please read though Pete’s whole blog to understand where he’s been, what he needs, and if you are the “one” he is dreaming about!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!  Pete gets to spend Thanksgiving with a crowd of 30 for dinner J so we’ll let you know how that goes… as it will be interesting I’m sure!

A Golden Boy or Guilty Golden???

Do I look like I could be guilty of something?

Definitely looks like a Golden Boy!

Hi Friends!!!  FM here…I spoke too soon in my last update!  “NO great escapes as of late!”  HA!

FM should know better than to say such a thingJ

Well, Mr. Pete made his 2nd escape this week!  Having a teenager that doesn’t close doors all the way and an attached garage is not a good thing if you have a dog named Pete/Bear in your home.J Not checking the door between the home and garage before she left, our daughter—for the 2nd time—gave Pete his “opening” for another grand GAME. When foster dad hit the garage door to enter, all he saw was a BLOND BLUR dart out into the darkness!  The exact same way he escaped the 1st time--ugh!  Of course I was still at work (45 mins. away) and the daughter was gone, so out went the S.O.S. to RAGOM and the Sheriff…all the while Pete was out enjoying a game of “Catch Me If You Can.”

Across the highway (UGH!) and through the woods he went as FD looked everywhere for this Rebel Boy with no luck…so headed home to see if Pete had returned.  FD heard the neighbor’s dog barking and the neighbors laughing and so wandered over to see if Pete was behind just sounds…and of course…there sat Pete in the open garage with the neighbors enjoying all the lovin’ he could handle until the “You’re IT” guy was spotted (FD) and off he ran.

Another 30 minutes and back-up arrived---Pete was winning the game at this point---he is a Master at not getting caught.  We think this was a favorite game the kids played with him on the farm---he loves it!  But—he needs a player and so when the player gives up and walks away…Pete turns and follows…that is, until you turn around and then it’s GAME ON again!

Time to bring out the Big Gun---no one can resist Resident Miley Girl---Pete’s Love!  The only other thing Pete can’t resist is a chance to go for a ride so once Pete was spotted---Miley worked her magic on Pete and with an invite to “go for a ride” ---Pete didn’t have a prayer…in the car he went with Miley leading the way.  Boy follows Girl…hmmm..such a familiar storyJ

Sooo many RAGOM friends & volunteers were on their way to help find this sweet boy in the dark and so we were relieved to be able to email out “Got ‘em!” and take him home in one piece.  Gosh…a foster family's worst nightmare and really—any dog owner’s worst nightmare indeed!  Luckily—this one had a good ending and taught us a few things about Pete.

  1. Pete is and will always be a REPEAT Offender when given an opportunity for a good game of “Catch Me If You Can”—it’s nothing personal---it’s really just a fun GAME to Pete.
  2. Pete needs a Player---someone chasing him.  Eliminate the Chaser…or redirect the activity…Pete follows.
  3. Pete loves people, other dogs---and of course chickens...so this is the path that will eventually lead to Pete.  The home Pete was finally located at had a dog in the back yard Pete was having fun with---that is until the “girl” showed up!
  4. Both escapes—Pete has stayed within blocks of our home--- ½ mile radius seems to be his comfort zone.
  5. Daughter learned a lesson!  And we learned a lesson not to trust Daughter with the door.  No MORE garage door openers for usL

All is back to normal—and Pete is Mr. Happy Go Lucky as always.  Quirky Boy for sure----but he’s so worth it!

Hi Pete Fans!!!

Pete continues to be a total joy to foster!!!  NO great escapes as of late---only lots of fun to report!  There is rarely a moment in our home that Pete doesn’t have us in stitches laughing!  His personality is so charming and so funny---he is definitely one of our favorite fosters thus far!

Here is a glimpse of what I mean about funny---

Pete is sooo big, but he’s very good about staying “under the radar.”  At dinnertime, it’s like watching an elephant trying to be inconspicuous.  You’ll be talking and passing the food and all of a sudden two big eyes appear… “My, what big eyes the chair has…”

We pretend we can’t see Pete while we are eating…and eventually… up comes his head—and who can resist that?

Pete is truly a testament to overcoming all odds and being happy no matter what!  Pete definitely lives “in the moment” and is the happiest boy!  It is just a pleasure to love Pete and provide him with the Golden Life!

Pete in his element…

You can see that Pete loves the outdoors and this is a must for his forever home.  He is definitely looking for a family that enjoys the outdoors as much as he does!  We think Pete has some sled dog in him, so we can’t wait to see how he likes playing in the snow!  And we can see why one of his past families named him “Bear” as he is a BIG, FURRY, Gentle Giant!  Plus…those big brown eyes get you every time!

So…what does Pete need to be this happy?

  • Pete needs a family to love him.
  • Pete needs a great outdoor space to run, to explore, to play and to enjoy all it has to offer with his family.
  • Pete needs another dog or two to “do the Golden Life with.”
  • Pete needs a family that understands his past and is willing to love him unconditionally just as he loves his people.
  • Pete needs a place to call his Forever Home---FOREVER—“until death do us part.”
  • Pete needs a family that is truly as wonderful as he is!

Someone is sure missing out on the best dog…it’s just amazing what a little love, exercise and understanding can do for a dog…and for a family! J

If you think you may be Pete’s amazing family…please let your Placement Advisor know.

Special note---no young children, cats, or chickens please ;)  1 of the 3 he’s nervous around---and 2 of the 3 he eats!

Hi Everyone!!!  It's ME--PETE!!!

Foster mom brought home a new foster...Matty 11-331. She's the strange looking one on the right.

Jonah 09-080, Pete 09-446, & Matty 11-331

FM said it was the perfect picture of 3 Beautiful RAGOM Blonds---ALL perfectly mixed of course!

But I think I'm the best looking MIX of ALL!

I will admit, I was a bit sad when Matty arrived because I wasn't the "new kid" anymore and so I pouted for a day or so...but I'm over it. Matty is cool and I'm still getting lots of love---just how I like it!

Well...we just finished a BIG doggie photo party at my foster home and so FM will have lots of gorgeous pictures of me coming soon!  Time for a nap....Celebrity modeling is hard work!

Catch ya later tater....

Hi Pete Fans!!!

We are convinced Pete was definitely a CAT in another life…  See what you think?

He has the full body “brush up” mastered!

He loves to play, be touched and receive love.

His very favorite snack is fresh chicken---with or without feathers!

Yes…we almost had a chicken dinner compliments of Pete.  His first escape out the garage door…took Foster Dad and Foster Sister on a little 15 minute adventure ending with our neighbor and Foster Sister wrestling him to the ground while feathers flew from his mouth.  Luckily, the chicken survived and so did Pete!  HA!  We are fortunate to have “understanding” neighbors!

He’s perfectly independent—not at all a Velcro dog, but also NOT a Loner either—he’s happy to be with family but also enjoys time to himself.

He’s willing to share his home and furniture with others.

YOU are the love of his life and HE is the love of yours!

See?  WE think the only thing Pete is missing from the cat-like qualities list is the “puuuurrrrrrrrrrr.”  We’ll have to work on that!

Pete is such an easy boy to love!  Someone is surely missing out on having this incredible boy by their side---to “do life” with.  Every day we have Pete, we fall more in love with him and his great personality.   He’s a bit quirky, but then again…who isn’t right?  As Robin Williams notes in Good Will Hunting…the quirks, “Ohhhh, that’s the good stuff!”

Pete has all the “good stuff” indeed plus he’s the perfect dog/cat!  If you are interested in meeting Pete, and you have another dog, no cats, and no small children….please contact your placement advisorJ

HI Friends!  It’s ME—Pete!

I had another wonderful weekend with my foster family!  We worked out in the yard all day and I was such a good boy.  FM says I’m a great “supervisor”—that is—when I have my eyes open.   What?  Who can resist a nice nap in the shade on a beautiful day?  Not me—that’s for sure!

My foster siblings and I played really hard and had a ball and since we were so good, we all earned rawhides!  YUM!!!  I love my rawhides!  And guess what?  I don’t resource guard anything and I’m great at sharing all my stuff.  FM can take my stuff away from me—even when it’s in my mouth—but then I give her the sad eyes and she gives it right back to me.  I know, she’s just testing me and I always pass the tests---A+

I will admit, the one thing I can’t resist going bananas about is a deer.  We have so many deer out here and they stop by every morning to eat off the apple trees in the front yard. I bark at them, but they don’t seem to care one bit.  They just eat away at “our” apple trees.  Those red things can’t be that good can they?  Hmmm…maybe I should try one…

Smells pretty good!

Tastes pretty good too!

OK, so how do you eat ‘em?

I guess those deer know what they are doing---YUM!

FM says some families have been calling about me, but two families had small children and another one did not have another dog---and I sure want to have another dog or dogs in my life!  I really like having fur friends with me.  And--I do love kids, but the little ones make me too uneasy---so no little kids under 10 yrs. is probably best for me.

Ok—that’s it for now….so much to do today, but I’ll have to wait ‘till my foster family gets home…I’m sure the deer will be along soon.

Life sure is good now!  Thank you so much RAGOM for not giving up on me!

Hi Pete Fans!!!

Boy had a wonderful weekend outside with the family enjoying the fall weather and "watching" FM & FD start some fall projects!  Pete is such a lover of the outdoors----as are we---so Pete is getting lots of time with his "pack" doing his favorite things!

We've learned a ton about this boy over the past two weeks and 2 things we know Pete needs in his forever home:

1. A family that loves being outdoors--yard work is good---but taking great nature walks or hikes, going for long drives just to enjoy the scenery, leaving the main walking path for an adventure through the long grass----this is pure heaven for Pete!  Oh--and napping in the grass beats the comfy couch any day...try it, you'll see!

2.  A family with another dog or two!  Pete loves nice adult or senior dogs.  He gets along beautifully with our pack---respects them, plays with them and loves them.  I'm so impressed with him.

Since RAGOM foster dogs cannot go to off leash public dog parks, we decided to bring the "dog park" to Pete to see how he did with a number of new dogs in an open--off-leash--area and I'm happy to report---Pete's Private Doggie Playdate was totally AWESOME!  Take a look...

"The more the merrier," says Pete!

The Pack Rules!

Pete finally gets his girl :)

Perfect end to a perfect day!

Thanks Christy and Joe for letting Gracie, Andy and Bella visit Pete's Dog Park.  We might have the start of a cool thing here....HA!!!!

Pete is such a good dog! He just needed a family to believe it him, love him, and provide the two things listed above.  He is going to make the "right" family soooooooooo happy!!!  So....If you think you might be "that" incredibly perfect family for Pete, please let your placement advisor know.  We are looking for Pete's Last Forever Family as he's been passed around more than any dog I've ever heard of and his next home must be committed to giving him the Golden Life forever...and ever!

Note:  Pete is only 75lbs...but he's a very BIG boy and strong as an ox so we think a home without small children is a must as well. He is also a bit skittish with unpredictable movements and/or quick movements towards him so this is another reason that small children would not be a good match for Pete.

A GReat BIG GOLDZILLA THANK YOU to EVERYONE that came out to meet BIG PETE and a very special THANK YOU to ALL our supporters!  Goldzilla was a BIG HIT and Pete made his foster family very Proud!

I told you I was a Good Boy!

Pete was a hard one to miss at Goldzilla---BIG, BOLD, & so so BEAUTIFUL!!!  Everyone in RAGOM knows Pete and so many volunteers and supporters came to meet this sweet dog in person!  Pete loved all the attention and seemed to bask in the idea that so many wanted to touch and love him.  Pete was a bit overwhelmed & nervous at first in being surrounded by so many strange dogs in every direction---but then again---so were we!  HA!  It was interesting to see his tail so low most of the day, but as the day wore on...his comfort level increased and up came his tail.

Pete is VERY good with other dogs, BUT---first introductions are KEY to his comfort!  Greetings off leash, in a nice open area, are ideal situations, so 300+ dogs all tied to 300+ leashes can be a bit intimidating and Pete communicated this insecurity to us clearly--thank you Pete!  Once Pete meets a dog properly...rear-end handshake and all---he's good, but many of our Goldzilla greetings ended up face-to-face, tied to a leash and so Pete did only what he knew to do if he couldn't retreat or flee and that was to scare the other dog out of his space with an air snap.  This is very normal reaction for a dog that is feeling insecure, but once space is given by the approaching dog and he is allowed to check the dog out from behind, introductions go much better.  Pete is easily controlled with a confident, loving handler and one that understands what he needs to feel safe in his own space.

Pete at the Foster Showcase feeling a bit overwhelmed

Because Pete is so easily redirected and because he communicates so well to his handler when he is uncomfortable, we were able to enjoy the whole day at Goldzilla.  Pete worked the Volunteer Booth with his foster fur sister Miley for 4 hours and continued raising donations with the RAGOM Donation Vests!

A very special Thank YOU to the "Anonymous" Goldzilla Friend Donor that donated to Pete's RAGOM page!  We are so lucky to have so many awesome supporters like you!

As you can imagine--- Goldzilla was so much fun, but also quite exhausting for the dogs---Pete barely made it in the door and wasted no time finding a place to lay his head.

Hi Friends!  It’s ME—PETE!

I am having so much fun at my new foster home! These 2-leggers are kinda crazy about me and I sure like them a lot too!  I’ve been the PERFECT house guest while everyone is away at work because I know when they come home, the FUN begins!

Me and my Foster Dad out for a nice walk

Oh…Foster Mom wants me to tell you there has been NO fence jumping or Grand Escapes (yet) since they have this cool 35’ long leash connected to me that allows me to run and play and explore with the other dogs. I don’t mind it at all because then my foster family can relax and play with me without worry. FM says that in time, I will be able to run without anyone holding on to the leash and just let it trail behind me. She started tested me last night and I did really good.

Me, Shadow, Foster Mom and my long leash

Foster Mom loves to run around with me

Of course…I have to admit… I have been checking out the fence, but my foster parents just say, “No Pete,” and redirect me to other fun things. So far…I’m happy to oblige them because they give the best body rubs ever! I love to be praised and loved like that! Plus---you know what comes after our outdoor playtime?

Treats!

And a good nap!

Ahhhh…Life is Good today!  Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

See you at Goldzilla Friends----I’m so excited to meet you all!!!

Love you so much!
