Brady 09-465

Profile

We would like to present to you – Brady – a lovely little lady who will steal your heart.   She is a purebred Golden Retriever who is 6 years young and medium in stature (about 60 pounds).  Brady is the quintessential Golden – fun-loving, sweet, and easy-going.  She will put her paw up on you or playfully lift your hand with her nose when she needs to be acknowledged, and carries toys around with her just in case an opportunity to play might arise.  She comes from a loving family who felt that she deserved someone who could spend more time with her than they could.  Brady has so many virtues, it’s hard to decide where to start…  Let’s start with the letter “B” (as in Brady):

B is for “Beautiful!”  Not only is she a gorgeous girl (you can see that for yourself), she gets along beautifully with everyone in her foster home, including the resident German Shepherd and cat.  She introduced herself as an appreciative guest and has fit right in ever since.  Although she is not currently around kids, her first family had small children and she loved to be around them.

R is for both “Relaxed” and “Raring to Go!”  Brady is a great age in that she has plenty of energy to run and play, but she is also capable of lying down quietly and playing it cool.  She loves to play fetch and greets you at the door with a toy and wagging tail.  Brady adores belly rubs and will flop down, feet in the air, and let you rub and scratch to your heart’s content.  She can also be found on the floor taking a siesta.

A is for “Adaptable.”  She has made the transition from the home she lived in her entire life to a totally new environment with flair.  She quickly learned to walk with a Gentle Leader.  (Of course she didn’t like it at first, but knows that when the Gentle Leader comes out that she gets to go for a walk and she graciously accepts it being placed on her).  I took her for a walk with Thunder (the German Shepherd) – they were so cute prancing down the road together side-by-side!  She has free roam of the upstairs when we are at work during the day and has been a perfect lady.  When asked to sit, she does so very well, but we are working with her on some other basic commands, such as “stay” and “down.”  She’s pretty food-oriented, so we are incorporating treats into her training.  Like many dogs, she likes to counter-surf, so we make sure there isn’t anything of interest left unattended.  She did get a hold of an open can of cat food, but gave it back graciously.

D is for “Deserving.”   Brady has so much to offer; she only needs a few things in return.  First and foremost, of course, is your attention and love.  If you can deliver on that, you will have her undying affection.  She does best with toys that cannot be easily destroyed, as she will attempt to do so.  And you will need to make sure she is not tempted by any goodies left out on the counter.  That’s it – she’s a great dog and deserves a forever family to share in her happiness.

Y is for “You will be a very lucky family if you choose to adopt Brady.”
