Hello… is this thing on? Okay, I… uhm, Max is what I guess you humans call me, want to get my web page set up. A quick bit about me physically: I am a sandy blonde Goldendoodle and 62 pounds of love machine.

I really like my foster dad and my brother Heath, so I wouldn’t be too unhappy if I got stuck here. But I think I can do better, at least with my human! Okay, yes, I really like the twice daily walks. We get to take the human typically about six-plus miles a day between the two walks.

Foster Dad says that while it helps burn up some of my energy, he is amazed at how much I still love our playtime of chasing the ball in the backyard after our walks. On the one hand, I would like someone who moves a bit faster, but at the same time, I really do like to stop and sniff the… well, whatever! 

Foster Dad says he should work with me more on the heel command. I know the command and understand what he wants with it, but I would rather hunt, and Foster Dad is pretty good about allowing me to do so. I am going to need a very active family—one of the reasons I came into RAGOM is that I was bored at my old home.

I am well educated! I did a lot of schooling and I know lots of your human requests—you call them commands—but let’s face it, who’s really in charge here? Foster Dad says I am very smart, but perhaps a bit obstinate, preferring to do what I want to do. 

I am aware of what a kennel is, I just prefer not to be in there. Foster Dad had me use it the first several days during the time he wasn’t here, but he quickly came to understand I am a good boy with free roam. 

Foster Dad says he is not sure about the “come” command, as I normally stick close, unless of course he puts me in a stay. I don’t have a lot of patience for the stay request, though.

Foster Dad says he is also quite happy with the way my brother and I get along. Sure, there have been a couple of shouting matches, but they were early on when I might have tried to take his food. I do have a bit of a food/treat obsession, but with toys and such we are very good at taking turns. 

We have also hosted a guest here a few times who I enjoy playing with. I am not thrilled when he tries to dominate the human’s attention, but Foster Dad is pretty good about petting all of us equally.

I had a cat companion in my previous home, which amazes Foster Dad, as I have a pretty strong prey (I prefer PLAY) drive.

Children, I love children! Heck, I love everybody! However, Foster Dad says I really, really need to work on my greeting. I like to stand up like you humans and give you a hug. Foster Dad worries that I would wipe out a child or maybe even scare someone.
