RAGOM Volunteer: Jean S.

Jean S. joined RAGOM in 2011 as a foster and also volunteers on the transport, Goldzilla, and holiday sale teams. She especially enjoys fostering mothers and their litters and has learned that the RAGOM family is there to help when you need them.

Jean also enjoys fostering dogs who have physical challenges. While fostering Starr 12-403 and her eight puppies, Jean was aware that Joy 12-418, a young dog with mobility issues, needed a foster home. "The whole time I was caring for Starr’s puppies, Joy was pulling at my heart." The day after Starr’s last puppy was adopted Jean began fostering Joy (pictured with Jean), who happily motored around using her front legs and a specially fitted wheelchair for her back legs.

"I have enjoyed every minute of fostering. I take the dogs that need a little more help, the ones that might have a hard time finding a home. That is something I can offer until we find the right home for them. I love RAGOM and everything that is does. I am a very small part of a very large and wonderful thing."
