Roxy, passed with flying colors with kids. She almost likes them too much. She gets so excited to see them she gets a little rough. So she would not be good with a family with toddlers. But older kids that can correct her when she jumps, or mouths would be ok. We are still working on "come." We let her freeroam at night and she does good. She sleeps next to our bed on a rug. She has a bed but chooses the rug. We still walk every morning and she looks forward to the walks. The summer people and their dogs came up to close out their trailers. Roxy got along with all of the dogs. I will keep you updated on Roxys progress.

This is Roxy (in front) and Lewie (winking). She LOVES our dog, Lewie. She definitely has some kind of herding breed in her. She likes to herd Lewie by nipping his back legs. She did mouth my feet when she got excited, but learned that was not acceptable and has not done it since. She is ok with cats. She mostly likes to follow them around and sometimes licks them, but then she will get in the play mood and chase them. Never has shown aggression with them. We have had a few storms this last week and has shown no storm anxiety. I do not know how she is with kids, but my grandkids (4&7) will be here this weekend and we will find out. I have been walking her in the morning with a gentle leader and she has adjusted to it well. Roxy likes to play a game "I've got the slipper (my husbands) and you can't get it". But she has found out I can. Sometimes I have to find something better (in her eyes) than the slipper. (: When I feed Roxy, I put a special treat in my hand and reach down in her dish and let her eat it, so when a hand approaches her dish she thinks of it as positive. She has not shown food aggression. She is doing well with commands, sit, down, and come. I had to literally lay on her to get her to lay down. But she has it now, with the help of a hotdog.
