Hi there! My name is BJ and I’m a 63 pound, 1 year old guy looking for my forever family! I’m full of energy, love to play! I get along well with other dogs and cats. That is, after a day or two. It helps if the cats put me in my place and tell me not to play “hide and seek” with them. I am learning how to sit on command and also how to shake (the sitting is MUCH easier than the shaking!). I walk well on a leash when using my Gentle Leader. My foster mom also says that I like to say “Hello” in a very vertical way. So, she’s teaching me to be more horizontal (whatever THAT means!) Whenever someone says “Come here” (including my foster brother, a parrot) I come running! Sometimes my foster mom isn’t calling me, but I come running anyway! I love to follow her around and she says sometimes I get in the way! But, I crave human attention. Do you have the attention and love to give me?

I will be meeting my first young children (ages 2 and 5) this weekend! If that is of concern to you, please visit my site again next week (1-14-08) to see how I did! I came in with a skin infection on my chin. The doctor just thinks it's from contact with a bacterial infection or because I was eating out of a plastic dish. But, I feel fine and don’t seem to have any allergies! I will be neutered soon (1-17-08). My foster mom is hoping that I will not have to claim my territory any more after that. I just felt the need twice or three times as soon as I got to her house. But otherwise, I ALWAYS potty outside. I like it better if I have room to run. I usually need to walk or run a bit before I remember to go #2. And I’m not quite sure about this thing she calls a “kennel”. I can’t remember if I’m scared of it or maybe I just don’t know what it's all about. If you think I’m the right loveable guy for your family, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let these wonderful folks know!
